ASTON MARTIN CLIENT SERVICES SERVICE POLICY LETTER Reference number: SPL-30-1036 Issued: 19 January, 2018 Subject: New electrical content and HTML5 upgrade for Cortona 3D content on the Dealer Communication System (DCS) Applicable to: All Dealers Distribute to: After Sales Manager Executive Manager Service Manager Sales Manager Warranty Staff Technician(s) Parts Staff Dear Colleagues, We would like to inform you about an improvement to the Electrical content on DCS, and the upgrade to HTML5 for all Cortona 3D content. New Electrical Content There is a new electrical technical guide available. The Module Software Procedures (MSP) Guide describes how to configure modules with the Aston Martin Diagnostic System (AMDS). It gives guidance on how to do software updates, SVN/SCN coding, use Special Applications, and do Immobiliser Application. The MSP Guide has Cortona 3D content to help the user, and there is a link to the User Guide for the MSP Guide on the index page. We recommend that you refer to the User Guide before you use the MSP Guide. We have changed how the electrical information can be accessed through the DB11 Workshop Information page on DCS. The Electrical Information index contains a new menu system and combines into one page the existing content for: • Network Diagrams • Wiring Diagrams • System Views • Component Locations The new menu lets the user select the correct information based on the model year, engine, and driver side (LHD/RHD) of the vehicle. The available electrical guide options are then shown. HTML5 Upgrade Cortona 3D content on DCS has now been upgraded to HTML5, which is the latest HTML standard. This allows Cortona 3D based publications on DCS to be viewed without web-browser plug-in software. Cortona 3D based technical manuals on DCS: • Parts Manuals (for V12 Vantage S and GT12, Taraf, Vulcan, DB11, and Vanquish Zagato). • 3D Description and Operation Guide (DB11) • Electrical Information (DB11) • Module Software Procedure Guide (DB11) The HTML5 upgrade extends web-browser compatibility to view Cortona 3D content to Google Chrome for the first time. It also improves compatibility with Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and other web-browsers on desktop, tablet and mobile devices. 19 January, 2018 Page 1 of 2 SERVICE POLICY LETTER SPL-30-1036 Please cascade this information to all relevant personnel in your Dealership.
