Bulletin No.: Service Bulletin Date: 22-NA-036 February, 2022 INFORMATION Subject: Vehicle Odometer Not Matching Display after ECM, BCM or IPC Controller Replacement Brand: Model: Cadillac CT6–V Model Year: VIN: from to from to 2019 2020 — — Engine: Transmission: 4.2L (RPO LTA) — Involved Region or Country North America, Middle East Condition The purpose of this bulletin is to inform dealership service personnel about a potential odometer inaccuracy concern after an engine control module (ECM) or body control module (BCM) is replaced and reprogrammed along with an instrument panel cluster (IPC). Cause The cause of the condition may be if the BCM or ECM was replaced and reprogrammed along with the IPC at the same time, the odometer value could read incorrectly since both modules were new. Correction When replacing an ECM, BCM or IPC, it is IMPORTANT to only replace and reprogram one module at a time with a power up sequence to establish odometer update across the other modules. If you replace more than one module at the same time, you could risk the odometer displaying incorrect miles after the programming event. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) in the Service Manual or the specific module programming instructions in service information (SI) for proper programming procedures.
