File in Section: Service Bulletin Bulletin No.: Date: PI1026 August, 2013 PRELIMINARY INFORMATION Subject: Reduced Engine Power, No Crank/No Start, Service Stabilitrak Message, Electric Parking Brake Light On, Liftgate Inoperative, Various Communication DTCs Models: 2010-2013 Cadillac SRX 2013 Cadillac XTS 2013 Chevrolet Malibu Condition/Concern Some customers may comment on one or more of the following concerns. These concerns may be intermittent. • Reduced Engine Power and/or Engine Power Is Reduced Message Displayed in the DIC • No Crank • No Start • Service Stabilitrak Message Displayed in the DIC • Electric Parking Braking Light On • Liftgate is Inoperative • Various Communication DTCs Set These concerns may be caused by poor terminal contact between the fuse and the fuse block. Recommendation/Instructions Technicians should remove the ECM_BATT and TCM_BATT fuses from the underhood fuse block and inspect each fuse terminal for contact witness marks (scratches). 3406690 • • If there are no contact witness marks (as shown above on the fuse on the right) on both terminals of either fuse, replace the underhood fuse block. Refer to the Fuse Block Replacement procedure in SI. If there are witness marks on both terminals of each fuse, refer to SI for further diagnostics. Parts Information For part numbers and usage of the fuse block, see Group 02.483 of the appropriate Parts Catalog. Order the fuse block with the same option content.
