INTRODUCTION
This premium installation kit is for 1995-2010 Ford/Lincoln/Mazda and Mercury Vehicles. Included
are all the parts you need to mount your car stereo or CD player into your vehicle’s dash. Refer to
the individual instruction in this manual to remove your vehicle’s factory radio and assemble the kit.

CAUTION: DISCONNECT YOUR VEHICLE’S NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
BEFORE THE INSTALLATION TO HELP PREVENT ELECTRICAL DAMAGE. WE
RECOMMEND THE USE OF A VOLT/OHM METER OVER A TEST LIGHT TO
CHECK WIRING. A TEST LIGHT OR GROUNDED WIRE PROBE CAN CAUSE
DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE’S COMPUTER AND/OR DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS.
AVOID ALL FACTORY AIRBAG WIRING - AIR BAGS CAN ACCIDENTALLY
DEPLOY CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
• See your vehicle’s instructions for any special tools your installation might require.
• Read all instructions accompanying your car stereo for proper wiring and mounting instructions.

DOUBLE DIN INSTALLATION (FIGURES 1-6*)
*BEFORE BEGINNING: Refer to Factory Stereo Removal section (pgs. 6-8) to
determine the proper kit configuration for your vehicle.
1. After removing specified tabs, snap mounting brackets to trim panel as shown.
2. Slide Double-DIN head into back of kit. Align screw holes with mounting slots on
brackets, and secure in place using screws supplied with aftermarket stereo.

NOTE: This installation requires dash bezel modification because of the nosepiece height
of double-DIN stereos. Make note of this if you are working on a leased vehicle or if the
original unit is to be re-installed at a future date.

1. Carefully file or grind away the TOP and BOTTOM
portions of the small lip around the inside of the
dash bezel’s stereo opening.
2. Push the 7022 left and the 7021 right brackets
onto the correponding sides of the stereo opening.
Push the brackets onto the lip on each side
(see inset illustration).
NOTE: We recommend performing this step above
a table or work bench rather than inside the vehicle.
3. Position the aftermarket double-DIN head unit (or 2
single-DIN units) in between the brackets from
behind. Align screw holes with mounting slot on
brackets, and secure in place using screws
supplied with aftermarket stereo.
SINGLE DIN INSTALLATION*
*BEFORE BEGINNING: Refer to Factory Stereo Removal section (pgs. 6-8) to
determine the proper kit configuration for your vehicle.
1. Snap brackets to appropriate trim panel (as shown in
Figures 1-6. Vehicles that use Figure 7 do not
use trim panel. Proceed to step 2).
2. Align pocket side posts to the lower mounting slots
of the brackets, and secure
in place using supplied
silver-colored screws.
3. Align single-DIN
aftermarket stereo with
upper mounting slots on
brackets, and secure in
place using screws supplied
with aftermarket stereo.

2009-2010 FORD ECONOLINE/E-SERIES VAN
RADIO REMOVAL:
1. With panel removal tool, unclip panel below steering wheel column, unplug and remove.
2. Unscrew the steering wheel tilt handle.
3. Extract (3) Phillips head screws located on the bottom panel surrounding the steering wheel
column and with panel removal tool unclip the bottom panel and remove.
4. Insert key into ignition and turn key to the On position, then with a pick tool, push up on the
ignition release tab and pull out the ignition switch.
5. With panel removal tool, unclip the top panel surrounding the steering wheel column & remove.
6. With flat head screwdriver, unclip the shifters rubber seal and slide it up to the top of the shifter.
7. Release (4) hooks securing the center console/engine compartment cover and remove.
8. With panel removal tooll, unclip dash/radio panel, unplug and remove.
9. Extract (4) 7mm screws securing radio, unplug and remove.

RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap radio trim panel that surrounds radio, unplug and remove.
2. Remove (4) 7mm screws securing the radio, disconnect and remove.
2003-06 FORD EXPEDITION
RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Extract (2) 7mm screws above instrument cluster
2. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap radio trim panel that surrounds radio and instrument cluster,
unplug and remove.
3. Remove (4) 7mm screws securing the radio, disconnect and remove.

RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Using the Ford DIN removal tools, carefully insert into the holes on the outside edges of the
stereo to release the stereo and pull it out of the dash cavity.
2. Unplug all connectors and remove stereo.
3. Extract (2) screws in the dash bezel just above the heater/air conditioning controls.
4. Carefully pry out on the dash bezel to release the fastening clips, unplug any switches (if
equipped), lighter, and remove the bezel.

RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap radio trim panel that surrounds radio, unplug and remove.
2. Remove (4) 7mm screws securing the radio, disconnect and remove.

RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Lift center console lid and extract (2) 7mm hex screws.
2. Using a panel removal tool, lift up to release bezel surrounding center shift.
3. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap radio dash bezel surrounding radio.
2009-10 FORD F-150 (WORK TRUCK MODEL ONLY)
RADIO REMOVAL:
1. With a panel removal tool, unsnap dash/vent panels on either side of stereo.
2. Remove (2) 7mm screws on top of stereo in front of display.
3. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap small panel next to cigarette lighter.
4. Remove (1) 7mm screw.
5. Unsnap complete stereo & A/C panel.
6. Remove (4) 7mm screws securing stereo.
2008-10 FORD F-SERIES SUPER DUTY TRUCK
RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap and remove the power outlet and blank bezels on the left
and right side of center dash unit.
2. Extract (2) 7mm hex bolts that are now exposed.
3. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap and remove entire panel assembly surrounding the radio.
4. Extract (4) 7mm hex bolts securing radio, lift away, disconnect and remove.

RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap radio trim panel that surrounds radio, unplug and remove.
2. Remove (4) 7mm screws securing the radio, disconnect and remove.
RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap shifter trim bezel, lift away and remove.
2. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap center console bezel, lift away and remove.
3. Extract (2) 7mm hex bolts securing bottom edge of dash panel. Unsnap dash panel, lift away,
disconnect and remove.
4. Extract (4) 7mm hex bolts securing radio, lift away, disconnect and remove.
2005-07 FORD FREESTYLE
RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap radio trim panel that surrounds radio, unplug and remove.
2. Remove (4) 7mm screws securing the radio, disconnect and remove.e.
2001-04 FORD MUSTANG
RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Use a panel removal tool to pry out gear shifter bezel.
2. Use a panel removal tool to pry out radio trim bezel.
3. Extract (2) 9/32" screws, located below the stereo,
disconnect and remove.
2005-09 FORD MUSTANG
RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Open center console, remove (2) Phillips head screws from back of console cover. Lift up and
remove (Console cover is held in place by (2) screws in back, press clips on each side
and front).
2. Remove panel from along-side of center dash by pulling from bottom to top. Panels are held in
place via press clips.
3. To remove radio trim bezel, extract (6) 7mm screws (three on each side) from panel. Unplug heat
and A/C control harnesses, remove panel. Extract (4) 7mm screws from radio mounting. Unplug
and remove.
2002-05 LINCOLN AVIATOR
RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap and remove vent panel above radio at the top of the dash.
2. Extract (2) 7mm screws that are now exposed under panel.
3. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap bezel surrounding the radio and remove.
4. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap and remove vents below radio.
4. Extract (4) 7mm screws from radio mounting. Unplug and remove.
2007-09 LINCOLN MKX
RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Open center console Lid, and using a panel removal tool, unsnap bezel surrounding shifter and
remove.
2. Extract (2) Phillips head screws below pocket and remove.
3. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap bezel surrounding the radio and remove.
4. Extract (4) 7mm screws from radio mounting. Unplug and remove.
2007-09 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR W/ NAV
RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap shifter trim bezel around shifter.
2. Remove (2) 7mm screws at bottom of panel
3. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap radio trim panel unplug harness and remove.
2003-06 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR
RADIO REMOVAL:
1. Open the center console door and remove (1) push-pin type fastener from power window switch
panel. Unsnap, unplug and remove panel.
2. Extract (2) 7mm hex screws from back of gear shift/cup holder panel, unsnap and lift panel out
of the way.
3. Extract (2) 7mm hex screws from below ashtray.
4. Use a panel removal tool to carefully unsnap and remove the entire radio-A/C control center
dash bezel, unplug and remove.
5. Extract (2) 7mm hex screws from below stereo, unplug and remove stereo.
