Maximum operation duration of this system is 15 minutes. System may not operate if the traction battery has 50% or less state of charge. Do not initiate Remote Climate with people or pets in the vehicle. Even when the system is in use, the internal temperature may reach a high or low level due to such features such as automatic shutoff. Children and pets left inside the vehicle may suffer heatstroke, dehydration or hypothermia, or death or serious injury. See your Owner’s Manual for further information. 17. Location services must be activated on smartphone for vehicle finder to function. The location shown will be the last known location at time of vehicle ignition off. If your vehicle’s ignition is turned off in an area without GPS coverage (e.g., underground parking structure), the application may not be able to update the GPS location and previous last known location will be shown. Customers have the option of opting out of the Vehicle Finder Application if so desired through the Entune® App Suite account management website at www.myentune.com. 18. The Smart Key System may interfere with some pacemakers or cardiac defibrillators. If you have one of these medical devices, please talk to your doctor to see if you should deactivate this system. 19. HomeLink® is a registered trademark of Johnson Controls, Inc. 20. An active Safety Connect® account is required. Safety Connect® is dependent upon the telematics device being in operative condition, cellular connection availability and satellite signal reception. All RAV4 EV models come with a three-year complimentary trial account, which begins on the date the vehicle is purchased by the customer. You may be enrolled in Safety Connect® by your Toyota dealer at the time of your vehicle purchase. If you were not enrolled, please contact your dealer for assistance. Price shown on toyota.com/entune is current at time of publishing; pricing subject to change without notice. 21. Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) is an electronic system designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control under adverse conditions. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver steering input can all affect whether VSC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. Please see your Owner’s Manual for further details. 22. Brake Assist is designed to help the driver take full advantage of the benefits of ABS. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Braking effectiveness also depends on proper brake-system maintenance and tire and road conditions. 23. Smart Stop Technology® operates only in the event of certain simultaneous brake and accelerator pedal applications. When engaged, the system will reduce power to help the brakes bring the vehicle to a stop. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver input can all impact stopping distance. Smart Stop Technology® is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving and does not guarantee instant stopping. Please see your Owner’s Manual for further details. 24. All the airbag (AB) systems are Supplemental Restraint Systems. All ABs (if installed) are designed to inflate only under certain conditions and in certain types of severe collisions: frontal and knee ABs typically inflate in frontal collisions; side and side curtain ABs in side collisions; Roll-Sensing Curtain ABs at a severe tilt degree, roll or lateral G-force. In all other accidents, the ABs will not inflate. To decrease the risk of injury from an inflating AB, always wear seatbelts, sit upright in the middle of the seat as far back as possible and do not lean against the door. Do not put objects in front of an AB or around the seatback. Do not use a rearward-facing child seat in any front passenger seat. The force of an inflating AB may cause serious injury or death. See your Owner’s Manual for further information/warnings. 25. Active front headrests can help reduce the extent of whiplash in certain types of rear-end collisions. 26. The Toyota Tire Pressure Monitor alerts the driver when tire pressure is critically low. For optimal tire wear and performance, tire pressure should be checked regularly with a gauge; do not rely solely on the monitor system. See your Owner’s Manual for details. 27. This device is not a substitute for safe driving practices. It is the driver’s responsibility to maintain a lookout for pedestrians, cyclists, other cars and objects and to drive the vehicle in a safe and prudent manner to avoid making contact. 28. HAC is designed to help minimize backward rolling on steep ascents. It is not a substitute for safe driving judgment and practices. Factors including grade, surface conditions and driver input can all affect whether HAC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. See Owner’s Manual for details. 29. The drive unit immobilizer is a state-of-the-art anti-theft system. When you insert your key into the ignition switch or bring a Smart Key fob into the vehicle, the key transmits an electronic code to the vehicle. The drive unit will only start if the code in the transponder chip inside the key/fob matches the code in the vehicle’s immobilizer. Because the transponder chip is embedded in the key/fob, it can be costly to replace. If you lose a key or fob, your Toyota dealer can help. Alternatively, you can find a qualified independent locksmith to perform high-security key services by consulting your local Yellow Pages or by contacting www.aloa.org. For Toyota Mobility program details, go to www.toyota.com/mobility or call the Toyota Customer Assistance Center at 1-800-331-4331 I nf or mat i onPr ovi dedby:
